Q. Should I include a bio in my query letter if I have nothing exciting (or writing related) to share?
A. I would. You don’t need to go into extreme detail, but a line or two on your work experience and any personal details you’d like to include can’t hurt. I know when I was an acquiring editor in-house I always liked to know who wrote the book I was considering. Plenty of agents do too. And I don’t think any agents will reject you just because you share where you’re from or what you’re currently up to. Just keep it brief.
Q. Querytracker often asks for a website location. I was going to wait until publication but now I'm wondering if a website should be constructed now. Do you recommend a self -designed site or should I pay for a service to construct it?
